WINNERS DURING NATIONAL DRINKING WATER WEEK

NHU Celebrated Drinking Water Week April 30 to May 7.

NHU Customers were invited to stop in and our office to see some displays, gather information on how to efficiently use this precious natural resource, and sign up to win a door prize.

  • Winner of the front load wash machine: Wayne Boettcher
  • Winner of the dual flush water saving toilet: John Murphy

    Students from New Holstein Elementary and Divine Savior were also invited to make a guess on a question given and win gift certificates for either Subway, Express Video, the Village Inn, or McDonlds.

    Question for grades K-4 was; How many drops of water were in the pint jar, which we provided? The correct answer was 113,540.

    Question for grades 5-8 was; The NHU water tower has a capacity of 200,000 gallons. If the water tower developed a leak that was 1/8" in diameter, how long would it take to drain the water tower of all 200,000 gallons of water? The correct answer was 61 days
