NHU and WPPI Donate to New Holstein Organizations
The New Holstein Chamber of Commerce and the New Holstein Economic Development Corporation recently received donations from New Holstein Utilities and their power provider, Wisconsin Public Power Inc. (WPPI). Each organization received $500. The money comes from a grant that WPPI provides to its members to support organizations in their communities.
The donation will be used by the Chamber of Commerce to assist in the organization's efforts to retain and promote the existing businesses in the community. The grant will provide additional funds for the New Holstein Economic Development Corporation's Development and Marketing Program. The NHEDC is currently building this program to promote new business and residential development in New Holstein.
WPPI is a regional power company serving 49 customer-owned electric utilities. Through WPPI, these public power utilities share resources and own generation facilities to provide reliable, affordable electricity to more than 190,000 homes and businesses in Wisconsin, Iowa and Upper Michigan.
