Recycling Event to be Held on March 25

New Holstein Utilities is coordinating another recycling service day on Wednesday, March 25. Customers may bring their items to the utility garage between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The utility garage is located in the 1800 block between Randolph and Park. Please use the entry to the parking lot off of Park Avenue.

Items accepted at the recycling event include light bulbs, ballasts, batteries (no car batteries will be accepted), and computer components. Televisions and microwave ovens will also be accepted. The customers are responsible for paying New Holstein Utilities for the cost to dispose of the items that are delivered to the event. To view the recycling service fees click here.

All light bulbs and ballasts must be placed in cartons (please remove the dividers from the lamp boxes), closed and taped to secure the materials. The number of items in the boxes or containers must be clearly marked on the outside of the box. Customers with large quantities of items (over 300) are encouraged to contact NHU so arrangements can be made to have the items picked up directly by the vendor. This will eliminate the need to transport the items to the NHU shop.

New Holstein Utilities offers this service to our customers to ensure that these materials are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. The recycling costs charged by NHU are simply a pass-through cost that is charged by our vendor.
