NHU Announces Drinking Water Week Winners
To recognize the vital role the water plays in our lives, New Holstein Utilities celebrated National Drinking Water Week from April 29 – May 5. Thanks to all of the people who joined in our celebration.
For those who missed the opportunity to celebrate with us, we offered tours to our renovated well house and promoted the efficient use of water, one of our most precious natural resources. Our customers were given the opportunity to stop by our office for refreshments and enter into the drowning tow in a prize. Wyonne Lewitz won the front-loading clothes washer. Winners of the $20 New Holstein Chamber of Commerce gift certificates were: Terry Thiessen, Mary O’Leary, Helen Olig, Bob Depies and Steve Ziegelbauer.
NHU and the local elementary schools partnered to promote education about water and the city’s water system. Students were given the opportunity to complete a word search which included fun facts about water. The completed word search forms were used to draw for prizes; 102 students participated. The winners of the $10 in gift certificates included: Evan Petrie, Isabella Kestell, Perry Balazs, Andrew Grabinski, Charles Schnell and Jenny Ninmer.
NHU is please to provide water for over 1,200 customers in the City of New Holstein!
