NHU Celebrates Public Power Week
Public Power Week is an annual event that celebrates the benefits of locally owned and operated electric utilities. This year, we will celebrate Public Power Week from September 29 - October 5.
During our week of celebration, we invite our customers to stop by our office at New Holstein City Hall for refreshments. While enjoying the refreshments, you can pick up a small gift and register to win one of the door prizes. There is a limit of one entry per household. This year's door prizes include a 22" flat screen LCD television, a 6-quart green and gold stadium Nesco, solar landscape lights, and two gift certificates for LED holiday lights.
We will also be conducting our annual food drive for the local food pantry during the week. Customers who bring in an unexpired, non-perishable food or personal care product will receive a compact fluorescent light bulb (while supplies last). Students from the area schools may also participate in the food drive. They may bring their items to school or the NHU office located at City Hall. Students can then register for a chance to win a prize. Posters promoting the food drive are located at each of the area schools.
New Holstein Utilities is pleased to have provided electric service to the City of New Holstein and the surrounding rural townships in 1912.
