NHU to Celebrate National Drinking Water Week

New Holstein Utilities is planning to celebrate National Drinking Water Week from April 28 through May 5.

A safe, reliable water supply is critical to the success of any community. There are times when we may take our water supply for granted until it is threatened, either by drought, a water main break, or some other event. Water is one of our precious natural resources (like coal or natural gas) that we believe to be abundant and will always be there.

New Holstein Utilities will be celebrating National Drinking Water Week to bring together water professionals and the community we serve, to recognize the vital role that water plays in our daily lives. We are fortunate to live in an area where the availability of water is as simple as turning on a faucet. There are still many areas of the world in which people must physically work every day to procure water (some of it unsafe) for their families.

To celebrate, refreshments will be served weekdays at our office (located at the New Holstein City Hall) from April 28 - May 5. While at the office, customers are invited to register for a chance to win a New Holstein Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. Students will be given the opportunity for a chance to win a gift certificate for the New Holstein Aquatic Center.

New Holstein Utilities is pleased to serve over 1,400 customers in the City of New Holstein! We look forward to seeing you during our celebration!
