New Holstein Utilities Celebrates Public Power Week from October 1 - 7
Public Power Week is an annual event that celebrates the benefits of your locally-owned and operated electric utility. Thousands of municipally-owned utilities across the nation will be celebrating with us. Come join us during the week as we also continue the celebration of the 100th anniversary of public power in the New Holstein community! You could win some nice prizes, including an Apple iPad.
During our week of celebration, we invite you to stop by our office at New Holstein City Hall for refreshments. To kick off the week, on Monday, October 1 we will be serving ice cream from 9 am to 3:30 pm. While enjoying the refreshments, pick up a small gift (including an engraved glass Centennial tumbler) as a token of our appreciation, and register to win one of the door prizes. There is a limit of one entry per household for the door prizes. This year we are giving away a flat screen television and New Holstein Chamber gift certificates.
As we continue to celebrate our Centennial, take our Centennial Quiz and return it for a chance to win an Apple iPad. The quiz will be available on our web site or at our office. The quiz must be returned by Monday, October 8 at Noon to be eligible to win the prize.
We will also be conducting our annual food drive during Public Power Week. Customer can bring in an unexpired, non-perishable food or personal care product to help restock the local food pantry. Students may also bring in a non-perishable food or personal care item and register for the chance to win a prize; the students may register for each item brought in (maximum of 4 times). Students may bring their items to their school or to the NHU office. The local food pantry is really in need of products to replenish the current inventory; please be generous if you are able! Thank you.
We look forward to having you join in our celebration of providing 100 years of municipally-owned and operated electric service to the New Holstein community and the surrounding area.
