Scholarships Offered to '03 High School Graduates
New Holstein Utilities and our wholesale power provider, Wisconsin Public Power Inc. (WPPI), are offering two, $500 scholarships to students of the 2003 graduating class.
In order to be eligible for the scholarships the students must meet the following requirements: (1) the student must be a member of the 2003 graduating class, (2) the student's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must be a customer of New Holstein Utilities, and (3) the student must be attending either a 2-year technical program or a 4-year university.
Due to the area of our service territory, some of our customers may have students who attend school in Kiel, Chilton, or a private high school. Therefore, the student does not have to attend New Holstein High School to be eligible for the scholarships.
Those selected to receive a scholarship will be announced at the students' high school scholarship awards program. The scholarship will be paid to the recipients following completion of their first semester of study at their post-secondary school.
Scholarship applications can be picked up at the New Holstein Utilities office. The office is located at the New Holstein City Hall, 2110 Washington Street. The office is open Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
