The Walls to the New Blower Building Are Up
Progress continues to be made with the infrastructure improvement project at the New Holstein Utilities Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project continues to meet its target dates and the new equipment should be operational by the November 20th completion date.
The following is a brief update on the project. All underground piping and underground electric work was completed in early August. On August 7, the masonry work was completed. From mid-August to the end of August, the precast concrete planking will be set and the roof trusses will be installed. Once the roofing work is completed, the project will be considered to be "water tight" and much of the interior work will begin. The first interior phase of the work to be completed will include insulation and electrical work. The mechanical work which involves the installation of the new blowers and the back-up generator will also be completed during this phase.
Good weather and efficient delivery of materials has kept the project on schedule. Zeise Construction of Green Bay is the general contractor for the project. Donohue & Associates of Sheboygan is the engineering firm overseeing the whole project.
