Michigan Avenue Infrastructure Project to Begin July 10
In an effort to maintain the city streets and utility infrastructure, the City of New Holstein and New Holstein Utilities works jointly on these projects. This year, the section of Michigan Avenue from Jefferson Street to Mason street will have some utility infrastructure upgrades completed and the city will be resurfacing the street. The street will be closed to through traffic beginning on July 3.
New Holstein Utilities will be upgrading the water main at the intersection of Jackson Street and Michigan Avenue, as well as replacing the sanitary sewer manhole at that intersection. Some water laterals and sanitary sewer laterals will also be upgraded. After the utilities work has been completed the street will be resurfaced. The project is expected to be completed no later than September 30.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the utilities project, please contact NHU at 920-898-5776. Questions or concerns regarding the street resurfacing should be directed to the City of New Holstein at 898-5766.
