NHU Wraps Up Public Power Week!
Students from the local schools and customers were invited to bring in a non-perishable food item or household supply (i.e. paper products, shampoo, soap, toothpaste) for New Holstein Utilities annually sponsored food drive for the local food pantry. Customers who brought in items received a 23-watt fluorescent light bulb, which is equivalent to 90-watt incandescent bulb. In total 1,340 items were collected, which is more than double the amount collected last year. A special thanks to everyone who participated in the local food drive.
Students who brought in item(s) had the opportunity to register to win a variety of prizes.
Customers who stopped in the NHU’s office registered to win a DVD/VCR player. This year's winner was Sandy Prange.
