New Holstein Utilities Improves Its Looks
The main building which houses the Electric Department at 1819 Park Ave and Water Department at 1816 Randolph Ave was recently remodeled. New siding and a new roof were completed in June of this year. Signs were added to both sides of the building to make it more recognizable to the customers and vendors servicing New Holstein Utilities. New exterior lighting is scheduled to be installed in the near future.
Other major improvements this past summer included the installation of a new roof on the Senior Citizen Center located at 1821 Park Ave. and major reconstruction of Pumphouse #2 located at 1414 Michigan Ave. A new roof, windows and doors improved the appearance of the outside of the building. Inside, out-dated equipment was replaced with new efficient pumps and motors. A new backup generator was installed and the electrical system was completely updated. An entirely new computerized control system is now in place which controls the water tower water levels and the 3 wells which supply the city with water.
