NHU Presents Scholarships to Students
Each year, New Holstein Utilities, along with our community's wholesale power supplier, Wisconsin Public Power Inc. (WPPI), awards $1,000 in general scholarships and a $500 line worker training scholarship to high school seniors. Two New Holstein High School graduates have received $500 scholarships from New Holstein Utilities.
Stephanie Kleine, daughter of Wayne and Wendy Kleine, was one of the recipients. She will be attending Purdue University and is planning to major in engineering and pre-law.
Alicia Bales, daughter of Cynthia & Richard Bales, was another recipient. She plans to attend Lakeshore Technical College and study nursing.
New Holstein Utilities believes in supporting local students in their pursuit of continuing education and sponsored the scholarships along with our community's electric power provider, Wisconsin Public Power Inc. (WPPI). Details regarding the 2005 scholarship program will be available to high school seniors some time this fall. Information will be available at area high school guidance offices and at the New Holstein Utilities office.
