Public Power Week Celebration is Back
As the calendar indicates that fall is here, it also means that it is time to celebrate the benefits of public power in our community.
As a locally owned and operated electric utility, New Holstein Utilities offers many benefits to our customers and the community including low electric rates, prompt service, payments to the City of New Holstein in lieu to taxes, and the opportunity for our customers to have a voice in the operation of the utility by attending open meetings.
To celebrate, refreshments will be served daily at our office (in city hall) during the week of September 27. Customers are invtied to stop by to register for an Energy Star rated dehumdifier that will be given away. We will also be sponsoring our annual food drive during this week. Customers who wish to donate to this worthy cause can drop off their donation of unexpired, non-perishable food items or household supplies (i.e. soap, shampoo, paper products) at the office.
Students from the local schools can also participate in the food drive. Students can bring their items to their school or to the NHU office. High school students should bring items to the NHU office. Students who contribute at least one item can register to win a variety of prizes from NHU.
New Holstein Utilities is proud to be one of the 2,000+ community-owned utilities in the United States. We are pleased to serve over 2,200 customers in the New Holstein area.
