Public Power Week Wrap Up
New Holstein Utilities, along with many other public power utilities throughout the country, celebrated Public Power Week from October 1-7.
We are proud to be a public power utility with the opportunity to provide service to the community of New Holstein and the outlying area. We appreciate the support of all of our customers throughout the year! Thanks to all of our customers who stopped by the office to join in our celebration. A special thanks to all of our customers who brought in donations for the local food pantry. Your generosity was wonderful! We hope you enjoyed the refreshments and the opportunity to register for door prizes.
Congratulations to the winners of our door prizes. Jeff Leitner was the winner of the propane gas grill and Jan Vergowe won the mini-refrigerator. Recipients of the motion activated light sensors were: Sandy Blatz, Ed Groh, Norb Kabat, Vernon Bonlander, Sara Pluedeman, Gloria Svetlik, Mary Franzen and Terry Jacky.
New Holstein Utilities once again partnered with the local elementary schools on the food drive. Each student bringing in an item was eligible to register for a prize. Between the items donated at the utility office and the elementary schools, over 1,000 pieces were collected for the local food pantry. Thank you to all of the students and parents for your generosity.
The following students received prizes for participating: Erin Diederich, Clayton Brenner, Justin Squires, Sam Schaefer, Emily Korb, Brad Freiherr, Michael Schmitz, Kelsey Berchem, Virginia Bailey, Owen Olsen, Skyler Feuerstein and Katherine Kapellen.
