NHU Celebrates National Drinking Water Week
New Holstein Utilities is celebrating National Drinking Water Week from April 30 - May 4. NHU is proud to supply New Holstein with clean, safe and reliable water.
Water is a vital part of our every day lives. It helps us sustain ourselves, cook our food, and clean. We are fortunate to have a water supply that is so readily available to us. In many parts of the world, getting drinking water is not as easy as opening up a faucet.
New Holstein gets its water from three wells located throughout the community. At each well, the water is treated to ensure that it is safe to use. The water supply is monitored and tested to make sure it meets and/or exceeds all standards. The water is pumped from the wells into the towers or through the distribution system to the residences and businesses in the community.
In celebration of National Drinking Water Week, we invite our customers to stop by the NHU office (located at the New Holstein City Hall) to join us for refreshments and to sign up for a door prize. Children in grades K - 3 are invited to participate in our coloring contest. The entry forms are being distributed through Holy Rosary School, New Holstein Elementary School, the New Holstein Library or at the NHU office. Entries are due by 4:30 pm on Monday, May 7. The winners will be announced by May 11. We look forward to seeing you!
